Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Wates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gary Wates is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Samuel Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gary Wates!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with an uppercut
and Wates counters with a slapping leg kick.
Gracie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wates.
Wates shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side.

Gracie drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gracie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wates works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Wates keeps moving.
Gracie postures up in Wates's guard and throws a big left but Wates blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wates really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Wates out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Gracie goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!
