Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rico Icon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giraldo Costanzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Icon might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica - Of wolf and man. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Icon connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Giraldo Costanzo has been cut.
Costanzo takes a swing at Icon's ribcage but misses.

and Icon counters with a big head kick but Costanzo shrugs it off.

Icon scores with a head kick. Costanzo tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Costanzo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Icon goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Costanzo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Icon circles away quickly and effectively.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Costanzo shoots in and bounces Icon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Icon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Costanzo defends it easily.

Costanzo stands up over Icon, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Costanzo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Costanzo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Costanzo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Icon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Costanzo has managed to get both his arms back between Icon's legs - danger averted.

Costanzo is working Icon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Costanzo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Icon defends well and Costanzo ends up having to push Icon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That has opened up Giraldo Costanzo's cut even more.
Costanzo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Costanzo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Icon sprawls well initially but Costanzo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Icon is looking to control Costanzo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Icon avoid being mounted?
Icon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Costanzo pulls his head out easily.

Costanzo passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Icon!
Costanzo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Costanzo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Rico Icon's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Costanzo lands a big shot there that rocks Icon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Icon is rocked!
Jeez, Rico Icon's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rico Icon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
