Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jan Eckstroem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enzo Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jan Eckstroem could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Enzo Roc's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jan Eckstroem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Enzo Roc!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roc rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Eckstroem moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roc looks to land a left hand but Eckstroem moved out of range nicely.

Roc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Eckstroem jumps guard.
Eckstroem has his hands on Roc's head, controlling the position.
Eckstroem continues to stall.
Eckstroem bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Roc's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eckstroem stops Roc from standing up.
Eckstroem is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roc wants to stand but Eckstroem is controlling the position.
Eckstroem working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Roc's head.
Eckstroem works over Roc with some ground and pound from guard.
Eckstroem prevents Roc from getting back to his feet.
Roc can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eckstroem controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eckstroem cracks Roc with a solid left hand.
Roc really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Eckstroem. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Eckstroem's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Eckstroem drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Eckstroem jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Eckstroem seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Roc for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Roc lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Eckstroem at a distance.

Roc moves into the clinch.
Eckstroem fails to pull guard.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Roc.
Roc is trying to break free.
Roc prevents a takedown attempt there.
Roc is trying to break the clinch but Eckstroem has him pressed against the cage.
Roc stops a takedown attempt from Eckstroem.

Eckstroem keeps control of Roc as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Roc is looking to break free of the clinch but Eckstroem has double underhooks.
Eckstroem is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Roc to keep the fight standing.
Eckstroem has Roc pressed against the cage, preventing Roc from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Eckstroem has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Roc avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Eckstroem will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Eckstroem closes the distance and clinches up with Roc, looking for a takedown. Eckstroem pushes Roc against the cage but Roc circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Roc is trying to push Eckstroem away but Eckstroem has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Eckstroem keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Roc's efforts to push away.
Roc looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

We've been informed that Roc has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Eckstroem changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Roc fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Roc looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Eckstroem slips a jab and a cross from Roc.
Eckstroem moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Enzo Roc dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Roc lands a right hook to the body.
Roc cracks Eckstroem with a good jab.
Roc lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Eckstroem circles away quickly and effectively.
Roc lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Roc.
Roc throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Eckstroem on the side of the head.
Roc looks to score with a jab to the body but Eckstroem is just out of range.
Enzo Roc seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Roc throws a combination that misses

and Eckstroem holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roc tries to break free but Eckstroem pushes him back against the cage.
Eckstroem tries to score a body lock takedown but Roc shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Roc has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Eckstroem pulls Roc into guard.

Eckstroem looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Roc is defending well. Eckstroem quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Roc has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Eckstroem celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jan Eckstroem!
Jan Eckstroem decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
