Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Anton Altair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Plouman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Altair comes into the arena with Assassin's Creed blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Chris Plouman enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Altair displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Plouman.
Altair cracks Plouman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

It looks like Chris Plouman has been cut.

Nice takedown defense from Altair. No joy for Plouman on that attempt.
Anton Altair has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Plouman.
Plouman shoots in for a double leg but Altair sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Plouman takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Altair fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Plouman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Plouman shoots in and drives through. Altair sprawls well.
A shot to the liver by Altair. Beautiful body shot.
Plouman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Altair.
Plouman has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Altair.
Plouman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Altair is fending him off so far but Plouman persists. Nope, Altair circles away and we're back to standing.
Altair jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

A counter left hand to the body from Altair misses its target.

Plouman avoids the head kick by Altair.
Altair stuns Plouman with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Horrible takedown attempt by Plouman or perhaps it was just good defense by Altair, which made it look bad.
Altair scores with a sloppy right hand. Plouman should have avoided that one.

and Plouman counters with a single leg into guard. Altair didn't expect that.
Plouman tries to free his leg and advance position but Altair is retaining full guard.

Altair is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plouman slips nicely into half guard.

Plouman has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Altair defend it? Plouman steps over the head and cranks it - Altair is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Plouman!
