Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cade Stryker!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Ben Hemmingworth and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Stryker. No joy for Gerber on that attempt.
Gerber shoots in but Stryker avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Stryker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gerber to the ground. Stryker is now in Gerber's guard.
Stryker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Gerber throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Stryker wants to control from the top but Gerber keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gerber is controlling Stryker's posture.
Stryker trying to control but Gerber is working from the bottom.

Stryker must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Stryker controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gerber is trying to keep Stryker in close.
Stryker is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gerber wants to sweep but no luck.
Stryker throws an elbow that misses. Gerber uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stryker's guard. Nice move by Gerber!

Gerber tries to free his leg and advance position but Stryker is retaining full guard.
Stryker is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stryker can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gerber controls the pace.
Stryker keeping moving, preventing Gerber from controlling successfully.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Stryker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stryker trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gerber's guard.

Gerber looking for a triangle here. Stryker is fighting it but it looks tight! Gerber pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Stryker is tapping out - this one is all over!

After the fight, Sven Gerber was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
