Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shovel Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Highfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knight comes into the arena with Shovel Knight blaring out of the sound system. James Highfield is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Highfield!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Highfield swings widly with a right hand
and Knight counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knight.
Highfield falls off balance throwing a combination
and Knight counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Knight throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Highfield fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Highfield avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Knight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Highfield moves away.
Knight smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Highfield misses with a looping right.
Highfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Knight sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Knight sizes up Highfield with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like James Highfield has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Highfield lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Highfield misses with a jab, cross combination.
Knight throws a big counter combination but Highfield scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Knight lunges at Highfield with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Highfield's hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Knight moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Knight just misses with a punch to the body.
Highfield lands an overhand right.
A solid leg kick lands there for Knight.
Highfield throws a sloppy head kick
and Knight counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Knight seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Highfield dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Knight cracks Highfield with a good jab.
Highfield takes one to the chin there.

Highfield is rocked!
Knight drops Highfield with a huge uppercut! Highfield drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Knight is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
