The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear looks to land a combination but Serderov avoids it well.
Serderov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Bear is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Serderov.
Bear misses with a body shot.
A little feinted left hand from Serderov on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Serderov lands with a nice body kick.
Bear displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Serderov throws out the jab.

Serderov instigates a clinch.
Bear has Serderov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Serderov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Serderov lands with a right to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bear has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Serderov tries a body shot but Bear blocks it.

Serderov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bear moves away.

Serderov bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bear's head backwards.

Bear looks to land a right hand but Serderov moved out of range.

Bear uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Serderov.

and Bear counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Bear drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Serderov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Bears head.

Serderov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Serderov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bear's defenses.
Bear is looking to take this one to the mat.
Serder Serderov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bernard Bear.
Serderov stalls.
Bear looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Serderov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bear backwards.

Serderov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bear tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Serderov was well out of range. Poor timing from Bear.

Serderov looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Serderov stuns Bear with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bear takes a jab right on the kisser.
Nice sprawl there from Serderov as Bear shoots in.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bear.
Serderov swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Serderov gets a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bear is trying to push Serderov away but Serderov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Serderov is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Serderov misses with a punch on the inside.

Bear jabbing away but nothing is landing.
We've been told by Serderov's head coaches at LOD: Xtreme MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bear works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bear lands a nice looking body shot.
Bear ducks under a wild hook from Serderov.
Bear throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Serderov.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bear thuds his right hand into Serderov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Serderov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bear can do to turn this around?
Serderov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Bear lands a glancing blow to the side of Serderov's head.

Oooooh!!! Bear has knocked Serderov down with a huge combo! Bear steps away and waves a wobbly Serderov back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Serderov is rocked!

It looks like Serder Serderov has been cut.
Bear connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Serderov covering up! Bear comes in with a big uppercut and Serderov goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
