Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 2, fighting out of London, Sam Urai!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hilton Teimosia!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urai cracks Teimosia with a good jab.
The fighters circling - Teimosia throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It looked like Urai was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Teimosia.
Teimosia throws a lazy uppercut
and Urai counters with a good low kick that Teimosia was not able to check.
Urai lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Teimosia stuns Urai with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Urai showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Teimosia.

Teimosia connects with a looping right hand.
Urai takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Urai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Teimosia lands with a straight right. Urai didn't see that one coming.


It looks like Sam Urai has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Urai throws a nice outside leg kick.
Teimosia ducks under a wild hook from Urai.
Urai throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Teimosia blocks the leg kick.
Urai scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Urai misses with a lunging right hand
and Teimosia counters with an outside leg kick.
Urai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Teimosia moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Urai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Urai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Teimosia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Urai swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Teimosia connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Urai closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Urai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Urai is keen to just control but Teimosia is a slippery customer.
Urai tries to pass to full mount but Teimosia defends it.
Teimosia is trying to maintain the position but Urai is very close to passing his half guard.
Urai wants to free his trapped foot but Teimosia is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Urai passes into side control, despite Teimosia's attempt to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Urai has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Teimosia!
Teimosia tries to hold on but Urai postures up.
Teimosia working to try and regain half guard.
Urai wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Urai working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Urai wants to control the pace but Teimosia is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teimosia keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Urai is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Urai!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Sam Urai!
