Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Arnavut Sevket!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Angel Face!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sevket moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Face throws a sloppy body shot
and Sevket counters with a left to the body.
Sevket throws an overhand right that lands on Face's shoulder, as Face tries to avoid the shot.

Sevket throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Face was covering up waiting for the punch and Sevket finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sevket throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Face works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sevket makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Face can do anything to dispel that myth.
Sevket postures up in Face's guard and throws a big left but Face blocks it.
Sevket has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Face is pulling down on Sevket's head to control his posture.
Sevket connects with a couple of short punches.

Face is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sevket is controlling him.
Sevket is in close to Face's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Face really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sevket. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sevket postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Sevket in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Face is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sevket is controlling him.
Sevket missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Sevket counters with a left to the body.
Sevket keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Face.
Sevket seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Sevket misses with a wild body shot.
Sevket tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Face was well out of range. Poor timing from Sevket.
As Sevket backs off Face throws a huge counter combo but Sevket manages to avoid it all.
We've been told by Sevket's head coaches at The Highland Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sevket throws a body shot but no joy.
Sevket sets himself, and Face steps forward looking for the clinch! Sevket avoids it this time.
Sevket avoids a kick to the body.
Sevket misses with a wild body shot.
Face takes a swing at Sevket's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arnavut Sevket dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Face takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Face keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sevket.

Sevket is looking to wear down Face with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Sevket decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sevket uses his free foot to push down on Face's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Face.
BOOM! Sevket connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sevket lands a nice shot to the head.
Face is still in real trouble! Can Sevket finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sevket postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Face is out cold - huge knockout for Sevket!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Arnavut Sevket!

Arnavut Sevket tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
