Palmer comes to the cage accompanied by GSP - Not Impressed. Santiago Palmer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmer gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Skinner to counter with a crisp jab.
Palmer tries for a takedown but Skinner circles away easily
and Skinner cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Palmer bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

We've been hearing reports that Palmer has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Skinner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Palmer's guard.

Palmer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
I've been told that Skinner has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Skinner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oh Palmer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Skinner throws an overhand right that drops Palmer like a sack of potatoes! Skinner dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Eric Skinner started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Santiago Palmer stepped up to the mic, saying 'Huge props to ya Eric enjoy your moment with the belt! Congrats for the victory!'.
