The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simon fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Watanabe, pushing him back against the cage.
Simon lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Simon blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Simon lands a takedown into guard.
Simon with a flurry of punches that miss.
Simon postures up and lands a big shot to Watanabe's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watanabe controls Simon momentarily but Simon frees himself.

Watanabe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Watanabe is tightening it up a little... Simon has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
