Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rasputin Erasmus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Ballantine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erasmus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rasputin. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rasputin Erasmus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bill Ballantine!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erasmus keeps the fight on the outside.
Erasmus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ballantine.
Erasmus lands a head shot.
Ballantine misses with a double jab.
Ballantine takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Erasmus misses with a low kick.
Erasmus scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Ballantine has Erasmus up against the cage in a clinch.
Erasmus is trying to break the clinch but Ballantine is controlling him.
Ballantine keeps control of Erasmus as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A head punch on the inside from Erasmus fails to land.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Erasmus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Ballantine has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Erasmus is trying to force a seperation but Ballantine has the dominant position.
Erasmus wants to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ballantine tries to work over Erasmus's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Erasmus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Erasmus has had enough of the clinch but Ballantine keeps him there for the moment.
Erasmus wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Erasmus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Erasmus scores with a jab to the head.
Ballantine walks into a jab.
Ballantine wants to clinch.
Ballantine tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Erasmus defends well and Ballantine ends up having to push Erasmus into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Erasmus drops Ballantine with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ballantine looks back up at him and smiles so Erasmus waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Ballantine is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ballantine leaves his chin hanging out and Erasmus seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Ballantine crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rasputin Erasmus!
