Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Scott Nichols!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, James McGuiness!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nichols throws a body kick that misses.
Nichols throws a sloppy head kick and McGuiness moves out of range easily.
A little jabbing left from McGuiness on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Nichols throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Scott Nichols seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuiness scores with a shot to the body.
Nichols looks to land a body kick but McGuiness moved away.
McGuiness keeps the fight on the outside.
McGuiness throws a hook but Nichols avoids it easily.
Nichols scores with a shot to the body.
McGuiness missing with a left hand there. Nichols was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Nichols checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
McGuiness swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Nichols has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sanitarium in the buildup to the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McGuiness keeps the fight on the outside.

McGuiness connects with a high kick.
Nichols throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McGuiness swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nichols fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nichols tries to clinch there but McGuiness circles away.
McGuiness attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Nichols throws a head kick that misses.
McGuiness takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nichols misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
McGuiness is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
McGuiness throws a right hand that Nichols ducks under and follows up with a left that Nichols also avoids with ease.
Nichols gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McGuiness.
A slapping body kick lands there for Nichols.
McGuiness misses with an uppercut.

Nichols drives through and clinches with McGuiness against the ropes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McGuiness tries to work over Nichols's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
McGuiness lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Nichols's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Nichols breaks the clinch.
Nichols works the jab nicely.
Nichols checks the leg kick.
Nichols lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Nichols wants to clinch up but McGuiness keeps it at a distance.
McGuiness tries a quick counter leg kick but Nichols is wise to it.
Nichols with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nichols tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. McGuiness manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McGuiness feints a counter leg kick.
Nichols scores with a head kick.
McGuiness jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nichols darts in trying to clinch
enabling McGuiness to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGuiness misses the jab.
McGuiness lands a lovely overhand right.
Nichols uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGuiness.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

James McGuiness dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McGuiness drops his hands momentarily and Nichols takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Nichols is rocked!
A nice combination there by Nichols.
Nichols throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nichols pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nichols chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McGuiness can pounce on him.
A swing and a miss from Nichols.
Nichols throws a body punch but McGuiness moves out of range.
McGuiness misses with an uppercut.
Nichols doesn't manage to clinch there - McGuiness circles away.
McGuiness doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
McGuiness feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nicholss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nichols throws a sloppy head kick and McGuiness moves out of range easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nichols pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nichols takes a jab right on the kisser.
Oh Nichols is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick by Nichols misses
and McGuiness counters with an outside leg kick.
McGuiness plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Nichols to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Nichols just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James McGuiness!
