The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Holt. Those never looked like landing.
James is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Holt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from James.
James looks for the body kick but Holt saw that one coming.
A little feinted left hand from Holt on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
James misses with a combination

and Holt counters with a shoot takedown. James fights it but they end up in guard.
Holt stops James from standing up.
Holt lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Holt is looking to stand up but James won't let him.

Holt drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick Holt off! Holt jumps back into James's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holt is fighting to break James's control of his arms but James is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
James fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
James misses with a series of wild punches.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
James scores with a hook to the body. Holt takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
James connects with a right hand. Holt shakes it off.
James scores with a decent looking hook.
James misses with a low kick.
James looks to score with a jab to the body but Holt is just out of range.
Holt is looking for a counter combo.
James cracks a nice hook into Holt's ribs.
James connects with a single shot there.

Holt is rocked!
A head kick misses from James.
Oh Holt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
James cracks Holt with a left hook right on the temple and Holt goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! James lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Holt is OK!
