Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Pablo Maza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Juan Pablo Maza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jonathan Fuller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Pablo Maza!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuller avoids the head kick by Maza.
Fuller tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Maza manages to circle out of the way.

Maza closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fuller to the mat! Fuller manages to get full guard.
Fuller preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Fuller looking to control.
Fuller is really struggling to control Maza but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fuller keeping moving, preventing Maza from controlling successfully.
Fuller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuller is working away from the top position though.
Fuller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Maza tries to kick Fuller off but Fuller keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Fuller seems to be looking for submissions.
Maza is looking for a sweep. Fuller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fuller is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Maza has managed to free his arm - good work.

Fuller is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Maza sees it coming and defends easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Maza pushes Fuller off looking to stand but Fuller dives back in and keeps control.
Fuller is keen to just control but Maza is a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Maza moves into range and clinches up with Fuller.

Fuller drops back looking for a leg! Maza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maza manages to kick Fuller off! Fuller jumps back into Maza's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fuller is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Fuller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Maza throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Maza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fuller manages to get himself to full guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Maza shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fuller is trying to defend but Maza finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Maza fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fuller sprawls well initially but Maza persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Maza. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Fuller is pressing down on Maza's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fuller is pulling down on Maza's head to control his posture.
Fuller tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Fuller is nestled in close to Maza, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Maza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Fuller wants to take a breather but Maza is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Maza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fuller is working away from the top position though.
Fuller wants to stand but Maza has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Maza trying to get back to full guard but Fuller takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Fuller stands up from mount. Strange move.

Maza ducks under a wild hook from Fuller.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jonathan Fuller will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Fuller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Maza feints and as Fuller raises his hands in defense, Maza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fuller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maza can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Maza grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.

Fuller is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Maza is defending well though. Fuller let's go of the attempt for now.

Jonathan Fuller showed his dominance in that final round.
