The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugherty tries to clinch but Melkadze moves out of range.
Melkadze swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Daugherty drives through and clinches with Melkadze against the cage.
Daugherty really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Daugherty drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Melkadze sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Daugherty doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Melkadze paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Daugherty - great work!
