Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Diego Aragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ceoghan Cartwright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartwright has chosen Disciples of Power - Born Unto Death as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Diego Aragon had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aragon catches Cartwright with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Aragon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cartwright's sensitive parts.
Aragon ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cartwright moves out of range of the strikes.
Aragon throws a chopping leg kick but Cartwright manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Aragon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cartwright shoots for a takedown but Aragon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Cartwright working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Cartwright sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Aragon is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cartwright thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Cartwright is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aragon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Cartwright swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Aragon is now in Cartwright's guard. A big mistake from Cartwright there, giving up the dominant position!

Cartwright looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Aragon has picked Cartwright up and slammed him! Cartwright can't keep hold of the triangle and Aragon manages to pass to side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cartwright uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aragon.
Cartwright shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Aragon sprawls well. Aragon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cartwright gets slowly back to his feet.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cartwright accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Cartwright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Diego Aragon will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Cartwright changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aragon tries to avoid it but Cartwright manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aragon to the ground. Aragon escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cartwright has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Aragon is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Aragon lands a big head kick that sends Cartwright tumbling to the mat! Aragon takes a step backwards and waves Cartwright back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Aragon counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Cartwright! He's just covering up as Aragon starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
