Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Nick Force!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Igor Byhenikov!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Force fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Byhenikov shoots in for a takedown but Force shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Force throws a shot to the body.
Byhenikov tries to clinch there but Force circles away.
Force will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Force throws a nice inside leg kick.
Byhenikov darts in trying to clinch
and Force cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice leg kick lands there from Force.
Byhenikov tries for a takedown but Force circles away easily
and Force holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byhenikov has a couple of punches blocked by Force.
Force creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Byhenikov's defenses.
Force controlling the action here for a moment.
Force lands a takedown into guard.
Byhenikov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Force scoring with some ground and pound.
Force forces his way into half guard.
Byhenikov trying to control from the bottom.
Force controlling the pace.
Force really is a fat lump.

Force decides to return to a standing position.
Byhenikov has his takedown stuffed
and Force counters by clinching up.
Nick Force has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Byhenikov.
Force lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Byhenikov backwards.
Force pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An inside leg kick lands from Force.
That kick from Force tenderised Byhenikov's leg. Byhenikov is trying to keep his angry face on.

Nick Force is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Byhenikov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Byhenikov looks winded!

Byhenikov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Force counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A right-left combo lands from Force.
Force lands with a right and another and another! Byhenikov is in big trouble! Force lands again and this time it's lights out for Byhenikov! A quality knockout there for Force.
