Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jacinto Quinn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabiano throws a solid leg kick but Quinn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Fabiano.
Fabiano doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Quinn counters with a series of strikes. Fabiano will be more careful next time no doubt.
Quinn closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Fabiano seems a little lost for a moment, as Quinn dominates the positioning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Quinn takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Quinn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Quinn wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fabiano dives in for a single leg takedown but Quinn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fabiano throws a series of punches but Quinn moves out of range.
Fabiano goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Quinn closes the distance and clinches.

Fabiano jumps guard but Quinn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fabiano tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Quinn smiles and moves away.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fabiano shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quinn pinned against the cage. Quinn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fabiano tries to keep at a distance but Quinn has taken the fight into the clinch.
Quinn has hold of one of Fabiano's legs. Fabiano is fighting the takedown attempt but Quinn gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Fabiano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Quinn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Quinn crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fabiano - the referee stops the clock and Quinn gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fabiano. Quinn manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Quinn counters with a left and a right that stings Fabiano.
Quinn wants to clinch up but Fabiano keeps it at a distance.
Fabiano throws a head kick but Quinn moves out of range.

Fabiano misses with a jab, cross combination.
Quinn is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Fabiano looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Fabiano will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Quinn rushes Fabiano and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fabiano wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quinn keeps working.

I would just about give that final round to Gustavo Fabiano.
I think Fabiano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
