The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goodman lands a jab.

It looks like Gregor McConnor has been cut.
McConnor slaps away a takedown attempt from Goodman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Goodman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McConnor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Goodman.

McConnor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Goodman sprawls well initially but McConnor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Goodman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

McConnor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goodman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Goodman sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
