The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volkov ducks under a wild hook from Powers.

Volkov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Powers tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Volkov. Powers does a little dance to reset his feet.
Volkov throws a body punch but Powers moves out of range.
Volkov is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Volkov feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Powers's calf.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Volkov connects with a leg kick. Powers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Volkov is looking to wear down Powers with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Powers closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Volkov to the mat! Volkov manages to get full guard.
