Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raoul De Muerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Quin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Muerta comes to the cage accompanied by The Crystal Method. Quin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Captain Jack - Iko Iko. Raoul De Muerta had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Muerta takes a swing at Quin's ribcage but misses.
Quin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but De Muerta defends it well.
De Muerta has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Matt Quin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
De Muerta lands a right hook to the body.
De Muerta fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Quin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, De Muerta creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

De Muerta is fighting off a takedown attempt but Quin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip De Muerta to the mat. De Muerta regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Quin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
De Muerta throws a looping overhand right but Quin ducks down to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Quin! But no joy.
De Muerta will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

De Muerta is pressed up against the cage. Quin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag De Muerta down to the mat. De Muerta avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Quin is looking to control De Muerta's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Quin avoid being mounted?

De Muerta is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Quin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

De Muerta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Quin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Quin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Quin stands and throws De Muerta's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Quin is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. De Muerta looks calm but he's in trouble here. Quin gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. De Muerta is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Quin lets go of the hold and De Muerta can pop his arm back in it's socket.
