Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Seto Takiama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seto Takiama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Miller!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws the kick towards the body but Takiama avoids it.
Miller scores with a nice body kick.
Takiama tries for a takedown but Miller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Miller looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Miller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Miller is looking to advance position but Takiama has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Takiama. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Takiama tries to control but Miller wriggling away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Miller is working Takiama over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Takiama controls Miller momentarily but Miller frees himself.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Let's hope that Miller has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takiama swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Miller must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Takiama is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miller sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Takiama has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Miller!
Miller tries to hold on but Takiama pushes him away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miller can do anything to dispel that myth.

Miller tries to lock up and control but Takiama gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Takiama can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Miller is looking to escape.

Takiama is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Miller is surviving well by controlling Takiama's body position as best he can.
Miller is trying desperately to improve position.

Miller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Seto Takiama will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Miller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Takiama sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Miller misses with a hook.
Takiama seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Miller displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Takiama.
Miller tries to work over Takiama's front leg with a kick but Takiama checks it.

Miller gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Takiama jumps guard but Miller stands there with Takiama around his waist. Takiama gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seto Takiama. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miller keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Takiama's efforts to push away.
Miller lands a hook to the side of the head.
Miller throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Takiama blocks it with crossed arms.
Miller misses with an elbow over the top.
Takiama is trying to break the clinch but Miller is controlling him.
Takiama jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Miller walks away with a smile on his face. Takiama gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Miller looks to throw the jab but Takiama is out of range.

Miller throws a low kick but Takiama moves out of range easily.
Miller has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Miller looks to score with a jab to the body but Takiama is just out of range.

Takiama rushes Miller and presses him up against the cage.
Takiama tries to land knees in the clinch but Miller avoids the damage to the body.
Takiama drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Miller tries to work over Takiama's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Miller fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Miller has a couple of punches blocked by Takiama.
Miller keeps control of Takiama as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Takiama wants to take the fight to the mat but Miller manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Miller gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Takiama regains guard.

Seto Takiama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miller slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Miller chips away with some ground and pound.
Miller is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Takiama is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Takiama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Miller's guard.

Ben Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Takiama blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Miller works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Miller's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Miller wants to pass the guard but Takiama is keeping the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Takiama manages to get to full guard.

Takiama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Takiama is tightening it up a little... Miller has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Miller reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Miller taps out! Nice BJJ there by Takiama!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Seto Takiama!
