PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between YB Sol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meat Machine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sol might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to SFIV - Theme of Ryu 2. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machine swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sol misses with a takedown attempt - Machine sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Machine catches Sol with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sol loads up on a big right hand but Machine slips the punch.
Machine looks to throw the jab but Sol is out of range.

Sol shoots in but Machine avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Machine jabs Sol right on the nose. Sol blinks but takes it well.

Meat Machine is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Machine takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Machine ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sol ducks under a wild hook from Machine.
Sol throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Sol. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sol tries to bum rush Machine with a series of wild strikes but Machine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Machine misses with a wild body shot.
Sol misses with an uppercut.
Machine bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sol's head.
Good standup being displayed there by Sol as he connects with a hook.

Machine gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Machine digs a right hand into Sol's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sol's gas tank.
Machine gets underhooks to prevent Sol's takedown attempt.
Still in the clinch, Machine scores with a nice short uppercut.

YB Sol's cut is getting worse.
Sol is breathing heavily.

Machine clinches up with Sol and pushes him back against the cage.

Sol drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Sol drops down looking for an ankle pick but Machine pulls his leg out and moves away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Machine pushes Sol off and gets back to his feet.
Sol avoids a punch combination nicely.
Machine connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A slow jab from Machine misses its intended target.
Sol misses the jab.
Machine cracks Sol on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Sol falls backwards against the cage. Machine follows up with more strikes that drop Sol to his knees. Machine keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Sol! This one is all over!
