Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Stanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Until The End. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanson connects with a right hand. Prime shakes it off.
Stanson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Prime pushes Stanson up against the cage in a clinch.
Stanson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Prime lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Stanson is pressed up against the cage. Prime has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stanson down to the mat. Stanson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Prime counters with a right hand that sends Stanson tumbling to the canvas! Can Prime finish him? He dives into Stanson's guard looking to do just that!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prime accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Prime has gone for a leg lock! Stanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Prime's guard.
Prime is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Prime thows a huge punch but Stanson dodges it nicely.

Prime throws a strike but Stanson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and Stanson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A low kick from Stanson misses
and Prime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Prime tries to move into range but Stanson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Stanson jabs Prime right on the nose. Prime blinks but takes it well.
Stanson throws a series of strikes that have Prime backpedaling.
Prime throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stanson's waist but Stanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prime off to one side.
Stanson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Prime counters with a straight right hand.

That has opened up Brian Stanson's cut even more.
Prime is looking to clinch but Stanson is avoiding it.
Stanson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Prime looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stanson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Prime uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stanson.

Prime cracks Stanson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Prime immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Stanson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Prime!
