Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 wins, 13 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Stanson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanson connects with a right hand. Prime shakes it off.
Stanson getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Prime pushes Stanson up against the cage in a clinch.
Stanson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Prime lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Stanson is pressed up against the cage. Prime has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stanson down to the mat. Stanson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Stanson tests Prime's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Stanson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Prime.
Nice takedown defense from Stanson. No joy for Prime on that attempt.

No joy there for Stanson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Prime counters with a nice body shot.
Stanson throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Prime counters with a right hand that sends Stanson tumbling to the canvas! Can Prime finish him? He dives into Stanson's guard looking to do just that!

Stanson is rocked!

It looks like Brian Stanson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Stanson wants to stand up but Prime is controlling him.

Prime trying to control but Stanson is working from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prime accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Prime has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stanson wants to stand and escape but Prime is having none of it.
Prime will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Prime postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Prime throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Stanson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Prime has gone for a leg lock! Stanson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Prime's guard.
Prime is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Prime thows a huge punch but Stanson dodges it nicely.

Prime tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stanson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Stanson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Prime lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Prime throws a strike but Stanson rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Prime looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Prime is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stanson lands a couple of digs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Optimus Prime dominated that round.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Prime tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Stanson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
A low kick from Stanson misses
and Prime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Prime tries to move into range but Stanson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Stanson jabs Prime right on the nose. Prime blinks but takes it well.
Stanson throws a series of strikes that have Prime backpedaling.
Prime throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stanson's waist but Stanson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prime off to one side.
Stanson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Prime counters with a straight right hand.

That has opened up Brian Stanson's cut even more.
Prime is looking to clinch but Stanson is avoiding it.
Stanson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Prime looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Stanson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Prime uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stanson.
Prime half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Stanson swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Stanson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Stanson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Donk. Stanson catches Prime right on the button with a cross.
Brian Stanson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stanson thows a leg kick but Prime checks it

and Prime counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Stanson down! Prime is looking to finish but Stanson is intelligently defending himself.
Stanson is still in real trouble! Can Prime finish him?
Prime won't allow Stanson to get back to his feet.
Prime with a nice head shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Prime throwing strikes from guard but Stanson blocks nicely.

Prime slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Stanson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Prime wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The strikes coming from Prime are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Prime cracks Stanson with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Prime immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Stanson is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Prime!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Optimus Prime!
