The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Caboul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McConnor misses with the combination.
Caboul avoids a punch combination nicely.
McConnor catches Caboul with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Maroun Caboul has been cut.

Caboul drives through with a takedown into guard.
Caboul postures up and lands a big shot to McConnor's brow.
Caboul is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Caboul is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
McConnor is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Caboul dives into side control.

Caboul creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Caboul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Caboul wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McConnor, who protects the arm well.
Caboul working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Caboul is chipping away with strikes.

Caboul is working to tighten his grip on McConnor's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McConnor has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Caboul is really squeezing tight and eventually McConnor passes out! Caboul breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
