Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nickthaniel Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Cornell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Feiticeira. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nickthaniel Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Cornell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a push kick but Cornell slaps the foot to one side.
Cornell unleashes a big counter combination but Diaz bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Diaz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cornell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Diaz throws a right and a left that both miss.
Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Diaz duly obliges.
Diaz looks to land a combination but Cornell avoids it well.
Diaz darts in looking for a takedown but Cornell gets double underhooks and turns Diaz into the cage.

Cornell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Diaz throws a right hand that Cornell ducks under and follows up with a left that Cornell also avoids with ease.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Diaz gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Diaz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cornell smiles and moves away.

That was a close round but I would say that Nickthaniel Diaz will probably get the nod.

Diaz clinches up with Cornell and pushes him back against the cage.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cornell swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cornell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there.
Cornell wants to hit a switch here but Diaz passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Cornell there!

Diaz jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cornell manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cornell is looking to regain half guard here but Diaz keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Diaz dives in and grabs Cornell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cornell pushes down on Diaz's head and hops out.
Diaz misses with a double jab.

Jon Cornell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cornell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
