Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoel Lordero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yoel Lordero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jordan Hill!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hill misses with a combination

and Lordero counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hill!
Hill gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Hill is trying to get back to full guard.
Lordero thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Hill with the active half guard here but Lordero passes nicely into side control.
Lordero content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lordero slips a nice elbow through Hill's hands, connecting with Hill's forehead.

Lordero decides to stand and escape the position.

Lordero closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Lordero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hill on the ground.

Hill is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lordero pulls his head out easily.

Lordero is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lordero not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Lordero lands strikes from half guard.

Lordero with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Lordero looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hill with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Lordero scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Lordero stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Lordero looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Lordero not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hill not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Lordero got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hill has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lordero has managed to get both his arms back between Hill's legs - danger averted.
Lordero content to stall in guard here.
Lordero lands a couple of elbows.
Lordero looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Lordero won't allow Hill to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Excellent takedown into side control there by Lordero.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hill is trying to escape the position but Lordero is controlling the position.
Hill is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Lordero has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lordero has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Hill moves into the clinch.

Lordero wants the takedown. Hill is fighting it off but Lordero persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hill's guard against the cage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill being controlled here, momentarily.
Lordero has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hill doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Lordero is stalling in the full guard.

Lordero tries to stand but Hill is controlling from the bottom.
Hill controls Lordero momentarily but Lordero frees himself.
Lordero is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lordero as he avoids it easily.
Lordero tries to counter with a takedown but Hill is quick to defend against it.

Hill instigates a clinch.
Hill has had enough of the clinch but Lordero keeps him there for the moment.

Lordero is trying to trip Hill. He has hold of a leg but Hill is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Lordero persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Lordero seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lordero postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hill is trying to keep Lordero in close.
Lordero engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Lordero postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hill has a closed guard, preventing Lordero from standing up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hill closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lordero circles away.

Lordero has Hill up against the cage in a clinch.
Hill fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Yoel Lordero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jordan Hill.
Hill tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lordero has hold of one of Hill's legs. Hill is fighting the takedown attempt but Lordero gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Hill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lordero throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Hill changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lordero tries to avoid it but Hill manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lordero to the ground. Lordero escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hill struggling a bit here.
Lordero remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Lordero is looking to take a break and control but Hill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hill tries to buck Lordero off but Lordero is having none of it.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Yoel Lordero overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
You can see the frustration on Hill's face as Lordero controls the position.
Hill tries to improve position but can't.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Lordero throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hill was covering up waiting for the punch and Lordero finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Lordero wants to stand and escape but instead Hill has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.


Lordero pushes Hill off and scrambles back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hill moves into the clinch.

Lordero gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Hill wants to sweep here but Lordero controlling him for the moment.
Yoel Lordero is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lordero controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Lordero.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lordero's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hill is looking for a triangle but Lordero pushes his legs off easily.
Lordero is stalling in the full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hill is trying to keep Lordero in close.

And that's the end of the fight!
Yoel Lordero showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lordero, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
