Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson connects with a right hand. Gunn shakes it off.
Johnson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Johnson misses with a hook.
Johnson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gunn was well out of range. Poor timing from Johnson.
Johnson throws a looping overhand right but Gunn ducks down to avoid it.
Tarik Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Johnson throws out the jab.
Johnson misses with a left hand
and Gunn counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Johnson thinking.
Gunn scores with a jab to the body.
Johnson lands a left and a right that send Gunn crashing to the mat, dazed. Johnson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Gunn is rocked!
It looks like Chris Gunn has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gunn swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gunn is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gunn enables Johnson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gunn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Johnson gets to his feet and stands over Gunn, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gunn felt that one! Johnson unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gunn from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tarik Johnson!
