The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bruttz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ishii on his heels. He'll look to pass Ishii's guard now, I'm sure.

Ishii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bruttz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bruttz throws an elbow that misses. Ishii uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bruttz's guard. Nice move by Ishii!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruttz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ishii gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bruttz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ishii can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bruttz is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ishii rolls with it to try and escape but Bruttz cranks on the arm and Ishii is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
