Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between George Bunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Noisy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for George Bunga has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, George Bunga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Noisy!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bunga shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bunga showed some decent athleticism there.
Bunga stops Noisy from getting back to his feet.
Bunga thows a huge punch but Noisy dodges it nicely.
Noisy is refusing to be controlled, as Bunga sits in half guard.
Bunga seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bunga with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Noisy looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bunga looking to score a takedown here. Noisy is defending well but Bunga drives through and ends up in Noisy's guard.
Bunga tries to stand but Noisy is controlling from the bottom.

Noisy pushes Bunga off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Noisy tries to clinch up but Bunga circles away and keeps his distance.

Bunga feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bunga stands and throws Noisy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Noisy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bunga. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bunga tries to advance to mount but can't.

Bunga wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Noisy, who protects the arm well.
Noisy tries to escape but Bunga is in control.
Bunga tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Noisy is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bunga is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Noisy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Bunga moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Noisy has worked his arm free - good work by Noisy!
Bunga will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Noisy is pushing Bunga's head away, looking to escape. Bunga manages to hold on to the position though.
Bunga tries to stand but Noisy is controlling his head.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Noisy wants to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bunga throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bunga wants to clinch.

Bunga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bunga is just content to waste time from the top position. Noisy takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Bunga wants to get up but he can't break Noisy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Noisy is looking to clinch but Bunga is avoiding it.

Bunga closes the distance and clinches.
Noisy jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bunga walks away with a smile on his face. Noisy gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Noisy keeps the fight on the outside.

Bunga gets a takedown into half guard.
Bunga is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Noisy looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bunga seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Noisy does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bunga has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Bunga is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Noisy sees it coming and defends easily.
Noisy is staying active underneath Bunga, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Noisy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bunga trying to control the position from guard on top but Noisy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bunga postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Noisy has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Bunga has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Bunga has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Noisy clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Noisy is in a bad position with Bunga working for a choke. Noisy manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Noisy tries to stand but Bunga is controlling from the bottom.

Bunga is looking for a triangle but Noisy pushes his legs off easily.
Noisy wants to get up but he can't break Bunga's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bunga is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Noisy is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Noisy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bunga is proving hard to escape from.
Bunga really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bunga manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Noisy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Bunga successfully pulls guard.
Bunga wants to sweep but no luck.
Noisy wanted to stand there but Bunga had control of the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Bunga dominated that second round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bunga turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bunga manages to end up in side control.
Noisy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Bunga wants to lay and pray for a moment but Noisy keeps working.

Bunga tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bunga has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bunga is looking to take a break and control but Noisy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bunga tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Bunga wants to control but Noisy is keeping him busy.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bunga doesn't manage to clinch there - Noisy circles away.
Noisy lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A combination from Noisy does no damage.
Noisy avoids the head kick by Bunga.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bunga tries to close the distance and clinch up but Noisy swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bunga pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bunga throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Noisy was covering up waiting for the punch and Bunga finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Noisy wants to get back to his feet but Bunga is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Noisy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bunga is looking to stand up but Noisy won't let him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Noisy has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bunga is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Bunga keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Noisy's efforts to push away.

Bunga breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Well Bunga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
