Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kendrick King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Long Timer!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Timer cracks the inside of King's front leg.
Long Timer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Timer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps King thinking.
Timer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Timer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Timer lands with a shot to the body.

Timer has managed to clinch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Timer takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
King fails to pull guard.
Timer has King pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Timer prevents the takedown attempt.

King tries to pull guard but Timer holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.

King is trying to force a seperation but Timer has the dominant position.

Timer is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. King is defending well for now.
I was talking to King's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Timer letting King take a breather here.
Timer should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
King tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Timer smiles and moves away.
King shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Timer as he avoids it easily.
A solid leg kick lands there for Timer.
King takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Nice body kick there by Timer.
Timer connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Timer forces King back against the cage and clinches.
Timer scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Timer throws an elbow but it misses.
King tries to pull guard but Timer holds him up against the cage and eventually King drops back down to his feet.
King throws a punch but it's blocked by Timer.

Timer is stalling here.
King wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Timer dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Timer has eaten all the pies!
Timer is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Timer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Timer lands a nice shot to the body.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

The crowd are getting on Timer's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Long Timer.
Timer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. King doesn't seem bothered though.

Timer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Left hook, right uppercut from Timer.
Timer throws out a powerful jab.
King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Timer but Timer pushes him off and we're back to square one.
King shoots and misses
and Timer counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
King changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Timer tries to avoid it but King manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Timer to the ground. Timer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Timer let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Good standup being displayed there by Timer as he connects with a hook.
Long Timer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Timer throws a left and a right that both miss

and King counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Timer trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Timer can do anything to dispel that myth.
King looks to land a strike but Timer avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Timer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Timer has King pulled in close to control his posture.
Timer is trying to keep King in close.
King is fighting to break Timer's control of his arms but Timer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Timer looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Timer ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Long Timer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Timer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Timer wants it to stay on the feet.
King fails with the takedown

and Timer holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

King wants to break the clinch but can't.
The referee is keeping an eye on Timer - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Timer feints and then cracks King's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow King down.

Timer misses with a series of wild punches.
Timer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Long Timer seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Good leg kick by Timer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
King doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Timer thuds a left hand into King's body.
Timer lands a body shot.
Timer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.
King darts in looking for a takedown but Timer gets double underhooks and turns King into the cage.

Timer scores with a punch to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
King shoots in but Timer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Timer lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.
King on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Kendrick King is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Timer scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Timer catches King with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!


King is rocked!

Timer clinches with his opponent.
Oh King is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Timer digs a right hand underneath King's ribcage. King let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Stalling in the clinch from Timer.
King seems to have got his legs back now.
King takes a shot to the head.
Timer scores with an uppercut up the middle.
King can't get the takedown.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Timer lands a right hand that snaps the head of King backwards.

King's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
King on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Timer. Timer obviously looking to wear him down.
King on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Timer closes the distance and clinches.
Timer throws a big uppercut that drops King! More strikes from Timer and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! King lies dazed against the cage as Timer celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Long Timer!
