Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papao shoots in and bounces Finley off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Papao sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Finley's guard.
Well, if Papao is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Papao lands strikes from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Papao is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Finley is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Papao's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Papao's back!
You can see the frustration on Papao's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Papao looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

Papao breaks Finley's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Papao wants to get up but he can't break Finley's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Papao tries to pass to full mount but Finley defends it.
Papao looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Papao seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Finley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Finley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Papao pulls his head out easily.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Papao pushes Finley up against the cage in a clinch.
Finley really is a fat lump.
Papao lands a left hand.
Finley misses with a short punch on the inside.
Papao turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Papao creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Papao wants to take a breather but Finley manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Papao.

A head kick misses from Finley.
Papao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Finley sprawls well initially but Papao persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Finley wants to get back to his feet.
Papao seems to be working for a kimura but Finley defends the submission attempt.
Papao is trying to control. Finley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Angel Finley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Papao has closed the distance and engaged Finley in a clinch.
Papao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Papao closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Papao wants to control but Finley is keeping him busy.
Finley is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Papao pulls his head out easily.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Finley throws a head kick but Papao moves out of range.
Papao unleashes a big counter combination but Finley bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Papao misses with a head kick.
Papao feints and as Finley raises his hands in defense, Papao changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joao Papao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Papao attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Papao has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Finley throws a right hand that Papao ducks under and follows up with a left that Papao also avoids with ease.
Papao forces Finley back against the cage and clinches.
Papao is trying to maintain a safe position but Finley gets an underhook and turns Papao into the cage.
Finley's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Papao manages to pull guard.
Finley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Finley postures up.
Papao is looking to sweep but instead, Finley has passed into half guard.
