Bailey has chosen Little Monster by Royal Blood as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Blake Bailey!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bailey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Bailey is looking to take a break and control but Lester is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lester is looking to regain half guard here but Bailey keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bailey wants to control for a moment but Lester uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bailey shoots in but Lester avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lester shoots in looking for a takedown. Bailey tries to sprawl out of it but Lester keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bailey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lester.

Lester scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Bailey kicks Lester off and gets back to his feet.
Lester moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Bailey throws a leg kick but Lester sees it coming and moves out of range.
Blake Bailey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bailey drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lester looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bailey is one step ahead there.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bailey lands a left hand.

and Lester counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bailey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Lester is controlling him.

Bailey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lester. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bailey is looking to stand up but Lester isn't so interested in that idea.

Bailey pushes Lester off and gets back to his feet.
Bailey shoots in looking for a takedown. Lester tries to sprawl out of it but Bailey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lester manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bailey moves into the clinch successfully.

Bailey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lester fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bailey shoots in and bounces Lester off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Lester pulls Bailey in close to prevent any damage.
Bailey has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lester wants to get back to his feet but Bailey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Lester pulls Bailey in close to prevent any damage.
Lester has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Bailey moves into the clinch.
Bailey is trying to break the clinch but Lester is controlling him.

Bailey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bailey closes the distance and pushes Lester back into the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Bailey wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lester has him pressed against the cage.
Bailey wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Blake Bailey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Maurice Lester has been cut.
Lester on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oh Lester is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bailey connects with a nice cross there... Lester is looking wobbly and Bailey recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Lester to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Bailey jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Blake Bailey was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
