Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Bentner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronaldo Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bentner comes to the cage accompanied by My Dick. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Bentner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ronaldo Souza!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bentner swings for the body but Souza moves out of range.
Bentner is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Nice defenses there by Souza.
Souza with the counter takedown but Bentner avoids it easily.

Horrible takedown attempt by Bentner or perhaps it was just good defense by Souza, which made it look bad.

The crowd cheers as Bentner lands an impressive looking overhand right. Souza doesn't seem phased though.

Souza changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bentner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Souza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Souza is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Souza decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bentner's guard.
Souza wants to pass the guard but Bentner is keeping the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bentner is on top in guard.

Our spies down at at Fighting Fitness & Freedom inform us that Souza has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Souza has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bentner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Souza.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bentner wants to control but Souza is keeping him busy.
