Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Gaarlandt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Juan Matus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matus has chosen Crow Spirit as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaarlandt throws a head kick but Matus moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gaarlandt. Matus does a little dance to reset his feet.

Gaarlandt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Matus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gaarlandt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matus as he jumps to the side.

Matus is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Matus dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gaarlandt. That did some damage!
Matus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gaarlandt if he has to take too many more of those.
Gaarlandt looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Matus is fending him off so far but Gaarlandt persists. Nope, Matus circles away and we're back to standing.

Matus feints a jab and as Gaarlandt dips his head, Matus unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Gaarlandt right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Gaarlandt falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Matus smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
