PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Xiomar Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vodka Drunkinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drunkinski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by It's my time. Vodka Drunkinski has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Xiomar Halo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vodka Drunkinski!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drunkinski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Halo.
Drunkinski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Halo sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Halo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Drunkinski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Halo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Halo pushes Drunkinski away with a front kick.
Halo scoring well with a low kick there.

Halo lands a head kick that bluckles Drunkinski and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Halo no doubt looking to push for a finish!


It looks like Vodka Drunkinski has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Drunkinski misses with a body kick.
A slow jab from Drunkinski misses its intended target.
Drunkinski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A telegraphed right hand from Drunkinski misses the target.
Drunkinski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Halo throws out the jab.
Drunkinski looks to throw the jab but Halo is out of range.
Drunkinski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Halo.
A big left from Drunkinski misses.
Drunkinski lands a glancing blow to the side of Halo's head.
Drunkinski pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Halo is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Drunkinski.
Drunkinski misses with an uppercut. Halo saw that one coming.
Drunkinski is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Drunkinski jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Drunkinski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Drunkinski throws the left hand but Halo avoids the punch easily.
Drunkinski is looking to slow Halo down with leg kicks.
Halo moves out of range of the strikes.
Halo throws a jab but it's blocked by Drunkinski.
Halo moves out of range as Drunkinski throws a body kick.
Halo wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Halo slips a straight right by Drunkinski.
Halo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Halo slips under a jab from Drunkinski.
Drunkinski is looking to land body kicks.
As Drunkinski tries to get set, Halo tries to push him back and clinch up but Drunkinski manages to avoid the attempt.
Halo blocks a low kick nicely.
Drunkinski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Halo moves into the clinch.
Drunkinski can't find room to land a body shot as Halo controls the action.
Halo struggles to land a body shot inside as Drunkinski controls his hands.
Drunkinski throws a head punch that misses.
Drunkinski lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Halo scores with a nice short uppercut.
A knee to the head by Halo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Drunkinski takes a shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Drunkinski goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A left hand lands to the body for Halo.
Drunkinski digs a right hand into Halo's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Halo's gas tank.
Drunkinski fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Halo lands a nice uppercut.
Drunkinski misses with some punches.
Drunkinski misses with an elbow strike.
Halo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Halo lands a hook to the side of the head.
Halo tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Halo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Drunkinski's elbow.
Halo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Drunkinski's elbow.
Drunkinski stalling in the clinch but Halo improves position.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Halo misses with a knee strike.
Drunkinski lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Halo or not.
Drunkinski lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Halo misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Xiomar Halo should take that round, based on the knockdown.
The cut man is working on Vodka Drunkinski's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Halo is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Drunkinski misses with a lunging right hand
and Halo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Halo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Halo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Drunkinski steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Halo.
Halo getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Halo cracks Drunkinski with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Drunkinski is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Drunkinski is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Drunkinski could not beat the count!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Xiomar Halo!
A very excited looking Xiomar Halo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
