Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bradly Morrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joao Castro acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bradly Morrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joao Castro!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro goes for a high kick. It partially lands.


It looks like Bradly Morrow has been cut.
Morrow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Castro as he jumps to the side.
Castro throws a head kick but Morrow moves out of range.
Morrow shoots in and drives through. Castro sprawls well.
Castro throws a one two combo.
Morrow checks the leg kick nicely there.

Castro pushes Morrow up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Morrow is defending well.
Castro prevents Morrow from breaking the clinch.

Morrow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Castro scores to the head and body with a nice combination!


Morrow is rocked!

Morrow tries to bum rush Castro with a series of wild strikes but Castro uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Morrow slaps away a takedown attempt from Castro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Morrow seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Castro misses with a takedown attempt - Morrow sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Castro shoots for a takedown but Morrow saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Morrow tries to counter by clinching up but Castro breaks away and moves out of range.

Castro pulls guard effortlessly.
Castro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Morrow trying to control the position from guard on top but Castro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Castro wants to hit a switch here but Morrow passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Castro there!

Morrow goes for an armbar but Castro turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Castro.

Castro postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Morrow avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Castro seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Morrow will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Castro throws a big elbow that misses.
Morrow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Joao Castro dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Morrow pushes Castro back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Morrow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Castro is keeping busy.

Castro closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morrow circles away.

Castro moves into range and clinches up with Morrow.

Morrow looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Castro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Morrow just stands there and leans against the cage.
Castro can't get the takedown.

Morrow lands an elbow inside that Castro shrugs off.

Castro drags the fight down to the ground.
Castro has a closed guard, preventing Morrow from standing up.

Morrow is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Castro is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Castro has escaped and now he's on top!


Morrow pushes Castro off and gets back to his feet.

Castro tries to pull guard but Morrow holds him up against the cage and eventually Castro drops back down to his feet.

Castro has taken the fight to the clinch.
Morrow wants to break free but Castro has control.
Castro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Morrow after a bit of a struggle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Morrow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castro circles away quickly and effectively.
Morrow throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Morrow shoots in for a double leg but Castro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Castro dives in and grabs Morrow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Morrow pushes down on Castro's head and hops out.
Castro shoots in and drives through. Morrow sprawls well.

Castro instigates a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castro is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Morrow putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Castro in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Castro jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Morrow walks away with a smile on his face. Castro gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Castro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morrow sprawls well. Morrow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Castro gets slowly back to his feet.
Morrow is looking for a counter combo.
Morrow throws a right and a left that Castro avoids nicely.

Castro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morrow's waist but Morrow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castro off to one side.
Morrow tries to counter with a takedown but Castro is quick to defend against it.

Morrow rushes Castro and presses him up against the cage.

Castro tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Morrow avoids it.
A frustrated look appears on Morrow's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Morrow comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Morrow is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Castro is keeping busy.
Castro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Morrow to keep the fight standing.

Morrow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jab, jab by Castro - just one landing.
Morrow avoids the head kick by Castro.
Morrow half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Morrow is looking to clinch.

Castro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Morrow's half guard.
Morrow looks like he's trying to stand up.
Morrow tries to get to full guard but Castro has control of the leg.
Castro wants to stand up but Morrow has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Morrow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Morrow is looking for a sweep. Castro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Castro throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Morrow is trying to control but can't.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Castro is looking to advance position but Morrow won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Castro dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bradly Morrow.
I think Morrow has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
