Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lamont Banner was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner misses with a body kick.
Santos was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Banner throws a sloppy head kick and Santos moves out of range easily.
Banner blocks a low kick nicely.
Banner swats away the attempt to clinch by Santos.
Banner scores with a takedown into Santos's guard.
Banner avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Santos looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Banner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Banner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Banner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Banner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Banner drops back looking for a leg! Santos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Santos manages to kick Banner off! Banner jumps back into Santos's guard.
Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Banner is one step ahead there.
Banner tries to stand but Santos is controlling from the bottom.
Banner looking to improve position, pressing down on Santos's thigh with his hand. Santos seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Banner paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Banner's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Santos picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
