Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Rainey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Winters comes to the cage accompanied by Get Up and Move. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Trent Rainey!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rainey closes the distance and clinches up with Winters, looking for a takedown. Rainey pushes Winters against the cage but Winters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Winters is looking for a counter combo.
Rainey looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rainey shoots in looking for a takedown. Winters tries to sprawl out of it but Rainey keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Winters manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Winters lands a leg kick that knocks Rainey off balance momentarily.

Rainey is fighting off a takedown attempt but Winters is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Rainey to the mat. Rainey regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Winters throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rainey.

Winters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rainey as he jumps to the side.

Winters forces Rainey back against the cage and clinches.
Winters tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Rainey seems to have recovered his senses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Winters goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rainey prevents it.

Winters is pushing Rainey up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Rainey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Winters counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Winters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rainey can do to turn this around?

Rainey drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Winters manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rainey has Winters in his guard.

Jason Winters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Winters seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
