Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odenson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like The Pope has been cut.
Thor Odenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pope takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Odenson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pope tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Pope checks a low kick from Odenson.
Odenson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Pope has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Odenson after a bit of a struggle.
Odenson lands an elbow that stopped Pope in his tracks for a moment.
Odenson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pope up against the cage.
Odenson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pope blocks it with crossed arms.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pope is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Odenson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Thor Odenson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Pope.
Pope tries for a takedown but Odenson manages to get underhooks.
Pope tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Odenson smiles and moves away.
Odenson takes a swing at Pope's ribcage but misses.
Pope changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Odenson moves into the clinch.
Odenson is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Odenson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pope chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Odenson can pounce on him.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short body shot lands from Odenson as the two fighters clinch.
Pope looks winded!
Odenson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pope lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Odenson lands an elbow that stopped Pope in his tracks for a moment.
Odenson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Odenson tries to land a leg kick but Pope saw it coming and moves away.
Pope feints the counter takedown.
Odenson tries a low kick but Pope avoids it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Odenson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Odenson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pope on the side of the head.
That has opened up The Pope's cut even more.
Odenson throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Odenson wants to slow Pope down by chopping away at his legs.
Odenson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Pope drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Odenson defends it well.
Pope ducks under a wild hook from Odenson.
Odenson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Pope. That did some damage!

The Pope's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Odenson prevents a takedown attempt there.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at The Pope's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
