Hunt comes to the cage accompanied by Comfortably Numb. Merik Hunt could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Mark Whitehope's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Hunt catches Whitehope right on the button with a cross.
Hunt swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Mark Whitehope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hunt keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hunt stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Whitehope shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hunt defends it nicely.
Hunt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Hunt does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
