The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manison misses with a looping left.
A nice leg kick lands there from Sarpong.
Sarpong lands with a kick to the temple. Manison shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Sarpong uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Sarpong feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Manison's calf.
Manison throws a hook but Sarpong avoids it easily.

Sarpong is looking to clinch.

Sarpong stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Sarpong slips under a jab from Manison.
Sarpong feints and then cracks Manison's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Manison down.

Sarpong moves into range and clinches up with Manison.
Sarpong has Manison pressed against the cage, preventing Manison from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sarpong fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Manison shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Sarpong eats them both and turns towards Manison to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sarpong lands a jab to the head.

Sarpong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Manison fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sarpong manages to avoid it.
Sarpong ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A punch lands to the side of Sarpong 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Manison throws a nice looking combination but Sarpong bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sarpong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Manison swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sarpong scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Manison lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Manison misses with a two punch combination.
Manison throws a looping overhand right but Sarpong ducks down to avoid it.
Sarpong throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Sarpong throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Sarpong lands a jab to the head.
A thudding body kick lands there by Sarpong!
Sarpong pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Manison chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sarpong can pounce on him.

Sarpong throws the left hand but Manison avoids the punch easily.
Manison leaves Sarpong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sarpong pushes Manison away with a front kick.

Manison takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Sarpong is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Manison doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Sarpong crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Sarpong's bad books for that mishap!
