Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Tomonaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomonaka comes to the cage accompanied by Pistolero. Vladimir Emelianenko told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimir Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko misses with a straight left.
Emelianenko throws a big shot that misses.
Tomonaka changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Tomonaka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nice uppercut lands for Tomonaka. That snapped Emelianenko's head back.
Tomonaka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Emelianenko.
Emelianenko tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tomonaka manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed right hand from Tomonaka misses the target.

Tomonaka looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Emelianenko looks to score with a jab to the body but Tomonaka is just out of range.
Emelianenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tomonaka was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Emelianenko is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Tomonaka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Emelianenko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and Tomonaka counters with a nice uppercut.
Emelianenko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tomonaka backs up against the cage.
Tomonaka is rocked!
Tomonaka is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Emelianenko doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Tomonaka crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Tomonaka's bad books for that mishap!
