Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Lob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Mahoney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lob shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Mahoney trying to hold on to Lob's head to control him but Lob postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mahoney is trying to stand back up but Lob is controlling him
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mahoney wants to improve his position but Lob is controlling well.

Lob winds up and cracks Mahoney with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Lob trying to control the pace.
Mahoney is looking for a sweep. Lob is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lob stalling.
Lob looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Lob is controlling the pace.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mahoney tries to roll over but Lob keeps him under control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Lob swats away the attempt to clinch by Mahoney.
Mahoney takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Mahoney scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Lob moves into full guard.

Lob has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahoney can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lob has control of Mahoney's left arm, preventing Mahoney from doing any damage.
Lob on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lob tries to get out of the position.
Lob wants to sweep but no luck.
Lob pulls Mahoney in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lob is on top in guard.

Lob wanted to stand there but Mahoney had control of the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mahoney throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Lob is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Lob fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mahoney to the ground. Lob is now in Mahoney's guard.

Lob wanted to stand there but Mahoney had control of the position.
Lob's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lob wants to get up but he can't break Mahoney's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mahoney is trying to keep Lob in close.
Lob tries to stand but Mahoney is controlling from the bottom.
Mahoney looking to hit a scissor sweep but Lob is one step ahead there.

Lob passes Mahoney's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Mahoney really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lob slows the pace down in half guard.

Lob seems to be working for a kimura but Mahoney defends the submission attempt.
Lob perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mahoney wants to get back to full guard but Lob has mounted him!
Lob lands with some strikes.
Lob is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Lob is landing with some decent strikes but Mahoney is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Lob with a couple of short strikes.
Lob lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Mahoney! Lob sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Mahoney and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
