Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Coleman Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Svensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Coleman Skinner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sven Svensen!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensen connects with a body shot that sends Skinner's belly button to the back.

Skinner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Svensen wants to get back to his feet but Skinner is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Svensen controls Skinner momentarily but Skinner frees himself.
Skinner engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Svensen is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skinner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Svensen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skinner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skinner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Skinner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Svensen throws a head kick but Skinner moves out of range.
Svensen lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Svensen stuffs the takedown.
Svensen lands a jab to Skinner's midsection.

Svensen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Skinner's guard.

Skinner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Svensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Skinner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Svensen stands up and waves to Skinner to follow him.

Svensen lands a leg kick that knocks Skinner off balance momentarily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Svensen.
Skinner wants to control but Svensen postures up.
Svensen fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Skinner manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Skinner stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Svensen to get to his feet.
Sven Svensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Skinner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Svensen to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Skinner manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Svensen manages to get himself to full guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Skinner is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Skinner is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sven Svensen dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Svensen closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Skinner's guard.
Skinner keeping moving, preventing Svensen from controlling successfully.
Skinner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Svensen throwing strikes but missing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Svensen tries to stand but Skinner is controlling from the bottom.
Skinner seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Svensen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Svensen is looking to stand up but Skinner won't let him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Skinner takes one on the chin but seems OK.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Skinner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Svensen did well to prevent Skinner getting side control.

Skinner is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Svensen manages to get to full guard.
Svensen working a defensive guard but Skinner manages to pass into side control anyway.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Svensen sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Skinner decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Svensen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Skinner. That did some damage!

Svensen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Svensen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Skinner wriggles free and stands up.
Skinner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Svensen tries to bum rush Skinner with a series of wild strikes but Skinner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Svensen misses with a body kick.

Svensen gets caught napping as Skinner dives in and scores a takedown. Svensen manages to retain guard.

Skinner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Coleman Skinner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Skinner is standing up over Svensen. Svensen looks to escape but Skinner dives into side control.
Skinner moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Svensen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Skinner has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Svensen looking for a sweep but Skinner has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Svensen is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Coleman Skinner will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Skinner goes for a double leg but Svensen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Svensen continues to drive forward.

Svensen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Svensen stalling.
Svensen wants to control but Skinner is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Svensen is looking to advance position but Skinner won't allow it.
Svensen has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Skinner works to full guard.

Skinner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Skinner throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Svensen works over Skinner with some ground and pound from guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Skinner manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Svensen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Skinner is defended easily by Svensen.

Svensen gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Svensen decides to pull guard.
Svensen is looking to sweep but instead, Skinner has passed into half guard.
Skinner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Svensen trying to control but Skinner postures up.
Skinner content to control rather than advance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Svensen takes the fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Svensen gets a trip takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sven Svensen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Svensen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
