PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jack Judo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Danzig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Judo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Da Mystery of Chessboxin by Wu-Tang Clan. Danzig has chosen The Misfits- Night of the Living Dead as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Judo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Glen Danzig!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Judo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Danzig tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Judo is in Danzig's guard.
Judo distracts Danzig with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Danzig is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Judo looking to sit in guard and control but Danzig gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Danzig is stalling in the full guard.
Judo wants to sweep here but Danzig controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Judo is working hard here to advance position.

Judo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Danzig is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Judo.
Judo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Judo looks to move to half guard but instead Danzig has passed into mount! Damn!
Judo tries to reverse the position but Danzig maintains control.
Danzig really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Judo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Danzig wants to control the pace but Judo is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Judo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Judo has his foot on Danzig's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Danzig works his way back into a safe position though.

Judo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Danzig is aware though and is defending well.

Judo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Danzig's guard.

Judo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Judo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Judo drops back, looking for a kneebar! Danzig looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Danzig looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Danzig!
Judo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Danzig off and has taken his back!
Judo throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Danzig is trying to defend against the choke here but Judo has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Judo Tightens the hold and Danzig taps out furiously! Judo displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Judo!

Jack Judo made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Can I get a Shucky Ducky Quack Quack?'.
Glen Danzig was interviewed post fight and said 'Demon I am and face I peel, to see your skin turned inside out. Gotta have you on my wall...'.
