Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodger Morse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Holter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rodger Morse has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rodger Morse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lars Holter!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Morse or perhaps it was just good defense by Holter, which made it look bad.
Holter misses with a two punch combination.
Morse seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Holter ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Holter shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Morse is trying to defend but Holter finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Morse scores with a few weak punches.

Holter decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Morse will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morse will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Morse counters with a three punch combo that has Holter backing up. Holter nods at Morse to acknowledge the strikes.

Morse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Morse ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Morse shoots in for a takedown but Holter shows good takedown defense.

Holter postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Morse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Holter, into his guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Morse gets to his feet - Holter follows without any prompting.

Morse has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Holter.
Holter throws a combination. Morse tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Lars Holter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morse shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Holter defends it nicely.
Morse shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Holter pinned against the cage. Holter gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Holter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Morse.

Holter cracks Morse with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Holter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Holter throws a nice looking combination but Morse bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Morse shoots in but Holter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Morse counters with a left and a right that stings Holter.

We've been informed that Holter has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Morse looks for a takedown but Holter sprawls well.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Holter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Morse napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Morse is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Holter is controlling him well.

Holter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morse flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Holter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Morse is just riding it out for now. Holter eventually gives up the hold.

Morse has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Holter is on him like a limpet, forcing Morse back against the cage.

Holter is fighting to break Morse's control of his arms but Morse is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Morse has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Holter has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Morse keeps control of Holter as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Morse jumps guard but Holter turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Morse tries to pull guard but Holter won't allow it.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rodger Morse will probably get the nod.
That's time! Morse's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Holter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Morse bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Holter's guard.

Morse thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Morse drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Holter manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Morse has Holter in his guard.

Holter throws an elbow that misses. Morse uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Holter's guard. Nice move by Morse!

As Morse backs off Holter throws a huge counter combo but Morse manages to avoid it all.

and Morse counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Holter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Morse shoots in for a takedown but Holter shows good takedown defense.
As Morse backs off Holter throws a huge counter combo but Morse manages to avoid it all.
Holter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Morse counters with a left and a right that stings Holter.

Morse clinches up with Holter and pushes him back against the cage.
Holter is trying to force a seperation but Morse has the dominant position.
Morse tries to pull guard but Holter holds him up against the cage and eventually Morse drops back down to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Morse keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Holter's efforts to push away.

Morse drags the fight down to the ground.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lars Holter.
I think Holter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
