Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masaru cracks Garcie with a right hand to the side of the head.

Masaru cracks Garcie with an uppercut from hell and Garcie crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Masaru's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Garcie is rocked!

It looks like Ricksono Garcie has been cut.
Masaru is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Garcie is still in real trouble! Can Masaru finish him?

Masaru is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Garcie on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Garcie shoots in for a double leg but Masaru sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Ryuu Masaru has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricksono Garcie.

Masaru scores with a hook.
Masaru is looking to slow Garcie down with leg kicks.
Garcie takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Masaru tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Ricksono Garcie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Garcie ducks straight into an uppercut from Masaru and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Garcie manages to regain guard straight away.

Masaru's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Garcie shoots in and drives through. Masaru sprawls well.
Masaru lands with a hook. Garcie tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That has opened up Ricksono Garcie's cut even more.
Garcie dives in and grabs Masaru's left leg, looking for a takedown. Masaru pushes down on Garcie's head and hops out.

and Masaru counters with a big uppercut that knocks Garcie off his feet! Masaru dives into side control looking to finish!

Garcie is trying to work for a sweep but Masaru has mounted him!
Garcie is still in real trouble! Can Masaru finish him?

Masaru has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Masaru continues to stall.

Masaru pounces like a tiger and cracks Garcie with a vicious hook! Garcie is down but not out! Masaru follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
