Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 43 - 27 - 5, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Kenzie!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A little jabbing left from Kenzie on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Man on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Man fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kenzie manages to avoid it.
We've been informed that Kenzie has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Man misses with a straight right.
Man slips under a jab from Kenzie.
Patrick Kenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Man lands a body shot.
Kenzie throws a body shot but no joy.
Kenzie throws the left hand but Man avoids the punch easily.
An attempted straight right counter from Man misses the target.
A punch combination from Kenzie misses.
Kenzie wants to clinch but Man slips to the side
and Man counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Patrick Kenzie has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kenzie swings widly with a right hand
and Man counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kenzie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Man throws a big shot that misses.
Man throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Man thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kenzie's corner calls for a 1-2. Kenzie obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kenzie tries to clinch but Man moves out of range.
Man is looking to counter punch.
Kenzie looks to land a combination. Man sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Man looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Man swings for the body but Kenzie moves out of range.
Kenzie looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Man missing with a left hand there. Kenzie was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Man fails to land with a series of punches.
Man paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice uppercut there from Man.
Man ducks right into an uppercut from Kenzie.
Kenzie slips under a jab from Man.
A shot to the body from Kenzie misses
letting Man counter with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Man takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kenzie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kenzie lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Man at a distance.

Kenzie lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Kenzie is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Man ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kenzie moves away.
Kenzie misses with a looping left.
Man scores with a punch to the head.
Kenzie throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Man to counter with a crisp jab.
Man uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kenzie.
Kenzie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Man was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Kenzie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Kenzie rushes Man and presses him up against the cage.
Kenzie misses with the head strike.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kenzie breaks from the clinch.
Man moves out of range of the strikes.
Man circles away from the clinch attempt
and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kenzie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Man.
Kenzie lands with a shot to the body.
Man avoids the body shot from Kenzie.
Kenzie moves in looking to clinch but Man pushes him off.
A telegraphed right hand from Man misses the target.
Kenzie scores with a nice right hand.
Kenzie misses with a right hand
and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Kenzie is rocked!
Kenzie moves out of range as Man strikes.
Kenzie is still on wobbly legs! Can Man finish him?
Man drops Kenzie with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Kenzie! Man dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ice Man!
Ice Man seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
